Proteomic research group provides complex analysis of protein composition of cells, tissues, body fluids, extracellular vesicles, as well as secretomes of in vitro cultured cells. We use mainly mass spectrometry and immunological techniques.
Focus and specialization:- advanced protein/peptide separation, identification and quantification methods – nanoHPLC and mass spectrometry with ion mobility separation
- multiplex immunoassays to quantify growth factors, immune mediators and other molecules; development of ELISA methods
- isolation and characterization of extracellular vesicles, proteomic analysis of vesicle composition
- cell culture, neural stem cell differentiation, immunocytochemistry, confocal microscopy, functional in vitro assays
- detection of tumor infiltrating immune cells, immunohistochemistry
- pig models of human diseases (melanoma, Huntington´s disease)
Figure 1: Extracellular vesicles and representative images of western blot gel and processed ELISA. Both methods are rutinelly used in our lab.
